NO-GI Categories 

We have divided this category into 2 divisions kids, and adults where they are divded depending on their belts. We reserve the right to merge weight divisions in the 3 listed if there aren't enough competitors in a single division. Look at the weight classes for each of these divisions before signing up.

Kids Category

This division is for Boys and Girls who are below 16, in this division, they will be divided on weight and belt ranks 

Adult Category

This category is divided among Males and Females depending on their belt rank.

No-GI Rules

Our MMA rules are focused on safety and fairness. We require all fighters to wear approved protective equipment, such as mouthguards, gloves, and headgear. We also have specific rules around strikes and grappling techniques.  

How Many Rounds ?

Our tournaments rounds will be 2  - 2 min rounds where a third round will be implemented if the 2 previous rounds ends in a draw by the refee and the judges.

Combat Rules

Standard No Gi Grappling rules are implemented any strikes will lead to disqualification. 

Scoring Points

Points are awarded for achieving specific positions and maneuvers. To score, the position must be held for 3 seconds.

  • Takedown or Throw: 2 points

  • Sweep: 2 points

  • Knee on Belly: 2 points

  • Guard Pass: 3 points

  • Mount Position: 4 points

  • Back Control (with hooks in): 4 points

Advantages

  • Awarded for almost completing a point-scoring move or attempting a submission that threatens the opponent.

  • Advantages are used to determine the winner if the points are tied.

Penalties

  • Stalling: Lack of engagement can lead to penalties. First offense results in a warning; repeated offenses result in point deductions.

  • Illegal Moves: Vary by belt rank and include slams, certain leg locks, and neck cranks.

  • Unsportsmanlike Conduct: Includes hair pulling, biting, and striking, leading to immediate disqualification.

Submission Techniques

A competitor can win immediately if their opponent submits by:

  • Tapping: Physically tapping the mat, their opponent, or themselves.

  • Verbally: Shouting or signaling verbal submission.

Common submissions include:

  • Joint Locks: Armbar, kimura, americana, etc.

  • Chokeholds: Rear-naked choke, guillotine, triangle choke, etc.

Illegal Techniques (by Belt Rank)

White Belts

  • No wrist locks.

  • No knee bars, heel hooks, or toe holds.

  • No slams from guard.

Blue and Purple Belts

  • No knee bars or heel hooks.

  • Toe holds are allowed for purple belts.

Brown and Black Belts

  • Knee bars and toe holds allowed.

  • Heel hooks are illegal in IBJJF competitions.

Required Equipment

Please note that to participate in the tournament you need to ensure that you have all the equipment listed, if you do not have the equipment listed you will not be able to fight.
